Secret hidden code in title....use decoder ring with Alpha-2 setting to decipher....
Anyway...here's a new feature on the blog...a poll...
Who thinks this guy is a yahoo? A true (wx) believer? Or, the real thing...a chaser?

If that link is dead....go to http://www.fox23.com/
Search for "storm AND chaser." The story is entitled "Chasing the Storm."

I don't know... he sort of reminded me of Rick... ;-)
Holding the camera? Rick would know better than that.
NO laptop mount? NO GR Level anything? Scanner in background, may not have an amateur radio....
From 1 - 10 (with 10 being best)...the Tornado Intercept Vehicle dude would be 11....I'd give this guy a 5....Rick ranks higher than that...RIGHT???
OK, OK, I'd give Rick higher than a 5...
What was it that dude had, just the TV Station doppler feed...? A 5! Man Jay, did this guy offend you in a previous life?
Nope...just being overly critical. They could have waited a month and told YOUR story...
Ya think??? I hope I have a story to tell... They'd better save some weather for me!!!
Oh, and uh, no autographs please... ;-)
Sheeesh..What a diva! Thanks for taking up for me Bro.
I think the guy was doing an ok job, but he really needed to have more than what he had. No mount? No decent radar with cell info? No ham radio? Chasing in a highly pouplated area? 10 years ago this would have been the norm (equipment wise) but not today. I wouldnt classify him as a chaser. Nothing against him personally, but the station could have picked someone better equiped to represent chasers(this was in the plains right? No shortage there.) again, I am not dising this man. I was there once, I know what it is like. Nature will show him what he needs to have when in the field. If he lives through it.
Poor guy... maybe we should try to contact him and teach him how it's done.
Yes..It is up to us to save him from himself! (hero music in background)
Since he's NIMBY, I'll pass....if he were Mr. Hatchell, then it'd be fun.
