Environment Canada meteorologists believe the twister that hit Elie, Manitoba on Friday was an F4 - one of the most violent twisters possible.

The tornado destroyed at least four homes in the small Manitoba town of 1000, and had wind speeds of up to 417 kilometres per hour.

There were no injuries or fatalities reported.
