Carolina Mike is CHASING!!!

Carolina Mike is live and out there chasing. Already 6 tornado reports just east and northeast of where he is. Lots of funnel clouds. He currently has a flash flood warning where he is, so I reminded him how flooding is the number one weather related killer in the US... eye roll. Seriously, "turn around, don't drown." I will provide support for Mike on an as needed basis, and it looks like tonight, it will be needed. Be careful out there, Mike. Rough night. I worry about him being out in heavy precip with rotation. Very scary.

Line of strong storms to our west. In preperations and watching radar trends for an intercept within the next 2 hours. Talked to Mike, he sounded uneasy about the setup. I cant blame him. Night time not a fun time to play in severe weather.
Now, back to you Dew..

Lined out for him... looks like the severity died down before he went out. He was after lightning. I didn't like all the flash flood warnings in his area. He was after CG, and he was trying to get away from the rain, so in that, he should be safe.

Hey, he was supposed to call me if he needed anything... Did he call? Did I miss it. I have to admit, I did zonk out. As you can see, I have an early morning... thanks for catching my slack, Rick. No "I" in team... ;-)

(evil laigh)...You didnt miss nothing, trust me. I spent most of my shooting time jawing on the phone with Smitty. We have come up with a plan to increase our chaces of catching storms on the plains next year. You will play a major part...Stay tuned for details...;-P

Thanks for all wx support! By the time I got off work the major storms were on there way out. We did get 3in in a very short time, as well as flash flood warnings. Most of the lightning was rain wrap, and I got two ok shots.
The roads were getting dangerous so I headed back.
The frogs were out in full force though.....

Rick, Do I want to know? And, are you ever going to let the whole evil thing go? I was just messing with ya.

Mike, So glad you're safe. You were wise to go back. It was heavy precip. Hard to catch anything in that in the dark, and with high flash flood potential... scary. Hope the frogs faired well. If only you had gotten off just a bit sooner... sigh, indeed.

Sounds like we missed most of the action. This one was not anticipated in advance by the people I listen to as well as usuall, in terms of severe potential.
