Amelia Island Severe Storm
I am on a working vacation here in Amelia Island, Florida. This storm came to me around 4pm EST today. It was severe warned and had some nice pea sized hail and intense CG lightning all around me. I got lucky and captured this strike during daylight after moving the camera up to F22 and just clicking away until there it was on the screen. Sometimes we get lucky!

I know that "F-22 clicking away" feeling LOL
Yea, I had to lean against the wall on balcony to try and keep a steady frame since I was without the tripod :) I think I ended up taking around 100 shots and got 2 lightning strikes. You can never tell if you captured it until you load it on the computer, because my Nikon D50 display isn't that great.

well looks like a good steady shot... The daytime stuff is a feat. Thanks for sharing
Rare capture indeed...Great shot!
Great stuff, Mikey! Way to be there... even if you were just two hours away and didn't call or anything... ;O)
