Video of the Severe Storms in Southeastern Virginia

I shot this video today around 4pm EST overlooking the Elizabeth River towards Craney Island here in Norfolk, Va.  Dewdrop sent me a few messages telling me there were rotation signatures on the radar.  Tell me what you think from the video.  There ended up being hail and wind damage around the area.  We are in the slight risk box again tomorrow!  Sorry to brag....Check out the video and a few more pictures.

Love it SCM - especially 4:22 --- makes me wish I was there...wx has been boring in Bama lately.

Save some for us, Mikey! Thanks for the plug.

I didn't see any rotation on the video, but that system was MOVING, wasn't it?

Great captures and video! LOVE THE CG!

No rotation seen, but that was really cool. :)

What video setup do you have? Am always trying to learn what and why things work best.

Thanks!

Hi Christine,

I use a Panasonic PV-GS250 Video Camera which I have had for about 3 1/2 years now on a tripod always. I hope to upgrade to an HDV camera next year. My pictures are all done with a Nikon D50 and 12-24mm Ultra Wide Angle lense by Tokina. Thanks for the nice comments.
