I have a lot of great video and photography from Hanna. She turned out to be a weak storm, but very picturesque! Here is a taste. I will get the full images and video up tonight.

Great shots! Sounds like it was more fun being a weaker storm and being able to get the shots...
Thanks Rick. It was fun, no damage and the sun is out. I'll have power for the NFL tomorrow, so I'm good :)

NFL - hmmm... National Flower Lecture? I didn't realize they showed that on tv.
:D
Great pics - have to kinda agree with Rick - with weaker storm these shots show a lot of the character, instead of just one color grey.
What tripod do you use for the videocam? And with cam on it, you weren't worried that it would be knocked over in the winds? I know it wasn't heavy wind, but best guesstimate what would it have been around?
Off to watch the video of it. Beautiful beach btw! Very nice.
I have a pretty generic tripod, but you'll notice in the pictures that I have it pretty low to the ground and stuck in the sand a little bit. I do need to get a bigger one with some weight to it, my Nikon has fallen once but didn't get damaged due to pure luck. I'm glad you liked the pics.

Incredible shots, Mikey. Glad it was a weaker storm for your family's sake.
... and for the sake of the pics.
Very nice....glad it caused no big problems and thanks for sharing the pics!
Is that cloud to ground lightning in the first pic? That is unusual in a tropical system.
No lightning, just some dense humidity!

Look real closely. What is that line extending diagonally from the base of the cloud to the ground at the shoreline, just left of the beach house?
I think that may be a line from one of the boats on the beach, but I could be wrong. If I caught a strike on film it was purely by accident (like it usually is!).

Pretty cool if you caught une that way. What are the odds....
