I will be watching closely. I was wondering why it has been so quiet but I realize we are far from over far as hurricane season goes. Great info you have here.
GFS is looking promising... I wish I were a bigger fan of long term GFS...

Thanks Titania. I know what you mean, Dew, about the GFS. But it has been amazingly consistent with the development of this storm even though for quite some time even though it is still not officially with us yet. I think the model gives us a good idea to keep alert but don't pay too close attention to fine details that far out.
Frankly, the consistent forecast out of GFS is impressive. Makes you take pause... I am getting a gut feeling that it'll be a GOM storm, a TD this afternoon and a TS in a couple of days, really slow developer, but that means it won't exhaust all its energy early. This could, very well, be a big one.
